FOUR MORE PLANTS THAT NEED A NEW SPOT
Roses
Roses particularly suffer with rose sickness, with new plants failing to establish where old roses were grown.
Apples
Apples shouldn’t be grown in the same place. If there’s no alternative, swap as much soil as possible and feed well.
Spruce
Spruce may suffer, not to the same extent as roses, but still best to replace as much soil in the planting hole as possible.
Cherries
Cherries planted on Prunus avium rootstock are more susceptible. If replacing, try a cherry on ‘Colt’ rootstock.
