Budding passion
Iwas given a copy of Garden News (January 30 issue) as a present from my partner and I absolutely love it! Since lockdown I’ve become a keen gardener. I enjoy discovering new plants and learning how to grow them. I’m currently renting, so most of my plants are in pots. Over winter I’ve moved quite a lot of my plants indoors so they’re now on my plant table. I also have some bulbs in pots indoors that are starting to sprout. Gardening has given me such joy over the past year that I wanted to share my story with you. Gardening is also a wonderful form of stress relief from my busy job working as a solicitor.
As you will see on my plant table, I have pelargonium plants I’ve taken from cuttings, sempervivum (houseleeks), nemesia seedlings in my propagator, also with some chilli seeds, hyacinths in a pot, yellow iris at the back and, last but not least, a purple primrose plant. Mary Foster, Tyne & Wear
