Benefits of untidiness!

I’d like to make a plea to my fellow readers of GN not to be too tidy over winter and to remember the birds. I’ve left the lavender untrimmed until early spring for several years and, on New Year’s Eve 2020, I saw a whole flock/ charm of goldfinches feeding on the lavender seeds and also on the marjoram and evening primrose seeds.
