Can I put my avocado plant outdoors?
Stefan says: You can, but it won’t survive for long! The avocado is a tropical plant and is killed by frost and, in my experience, they don't even like being put outside during the summer. Enjoy it as an indoor foliage subject but bear in mind it’ll become tall in time – a mature avocado is a decent-sized tree.
