BBC Audley End show launches

Audley End House, near Saffron Walden, Essex, will see the launch of BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair over the first weekend of September. In associatio­n with English Heritage, the event, which takes place from September 2-4, promises plenty of inspiratio­n and take-home ideas.

Gardeners’ World presenter Adam Frost will appear on Friday, Arit Anderson on Saturday and Joe Swift on Sunday, sharing expertise.

There will be practical plant tips and autumn growing advice in daily sessions at the Magazine Stage, as well as entertaini­ng

‘In Conversati­on’-style talks in Audley End’s spectacula­r Parterre gardens.

The charity Garden Organic is staging a potager garden featuring a central hexagonal shed, container garden and a collection of heritage vegetable varieties, while Beautiful Border exhibits will be packed with ideas.

Exclusive plant expert tours around Audley End’s famous organic kitchen and ornamental gardens will be led by head gardener Louise Ellis.

Shopping will feature plants from nurseries and specialist growers, while the BBC Good Food Market will host locally made and sourced artisan produce and street food.
