Japanese knotweed

It’s extremely difficult to eradicate and actually an offence to have it growing in your garden.

Giant hogweed

Glyphosate will get rid of this, as will digging it out, but the sap and debris can cause a nasty skin reaction.

Bindweed

A real nightmare as it spreads so quickly and will grow back from even the smallest piece of rhizome left in the soil.

Ground elder

Another one that spreads by rhizomes, can be controlled by glyphosate, but may need several applications.
