Caryopteris

These underrated shrubs are a pleasing mix of curious tubular blue flowers (a similar shade to ceanothus) and grey foliage. They’re a good plant to grow with lavenders or Mediterranean herbs, where they’ll thrive in a sunny, well-drained place. ‘Sterling Silver’ is a ‘well-behaved’ compact shrub growing to 60cm wide and tall.
