Add some repeated colour to the garden
If you’re planning a bit of plant shopping, just one plant can add extra impact all through your garden. Choose an herbaceous perennial in a large pot and when it comes to planting, tip it from its pot, pull it apart into three sections and plant at intervals along the garden to inject some colour continuously as you walk through it. Try this for perennials such as hardy geraniums, crocosmia or Salvia nemorosa. It’s a cost-effective way of filling up a new garden.
