Take succulent cuttings

-

If tender succulents in the garden have grown well this year and they’re too big to bring back into the home this winter, keep them going with cuttings. Most succulents are easy to root from cuttings and some can even be grown from leaves, simply laid on the compost surface. A mix of grit and compost is usually easier to use than Vermiculite, and loam-based compost is best because it’s easier to wet when dry. Let the cuttings dry out for a day or so before rooting and water sparingly.
