My plans for future carrot crops

The carrots under my frame have served me well and will continue to be lifted throughout autumn. In my well-drained soil I see no point in lifting them and storing them in sand. They keep perfectly well in the soil. I do have a back-up plan and standing outside my greenhouse door are five tubs of young carrot seedlings. These will soon be wheeled indoors to a warmer environment and will provide fresh, young carrots for Christmas and well into next year.
