Welcome blooms

What a lovely muddle of flowers! They were thrown into a pot in sheer desperation at the beginning of the year because my husband had developed bad health and things looked glum. But at the moment he’s on a plateau, waiting for the next treatment. The garden has kept us busy between ‘power naps’. Next year we intend to grow more pots of cosmos and zinnias. The flowers look grand to us. The red squirrel is a frequent visitor, coming right up to the patio window. There are many more in the garden and we now have a home-made nest box (made by our daughter) in the oak tree.
