Agapanthus

Recently we’ve seen new agapanthus varieties with pretty, bi-coloured flowers in rich purple, with flowers that are almost black and with variegated leaves.

‘Poppin Purple’ – sultry, deep purple buds open to violet flowers over a long period in elegant flower heads. 60cm.

‘Twister’ – sparkling blue and white bi-coloured flowers on open, compact plants. ‘Sea Breeze’ is similar. 50cm.

● Growing - plant in pots of welldrained, loam-based compost on a sunny deck or patio.
