Take cuttings of tender plants

-

Before consigning fading summer bedding displays to the compost heap, take cuttings of pelargoniums, coleus and fuchsias to provide a supply of free plants next season. Soft, healthy shoots can be snipped from plants, rooted in water, then potted up into moist cuttings compost as late as October. Overwinter indoors in a bright room.
