Sow microgreens

-

Microgreens are fantastic nutritious mini-leaves, which can be expensive to buy but they’re quick, easy and cheap to grow. These flavoursome, vitamin-packed greens add such value to meals sprinkled as a garnish. A dish topped with ‘Basil Dark Opal’ will not only taste good but look divine, too. All you need is a shallow dish, compost, seeds and a warm windowsill. Complete microgreens packs are available or just buy seeds and reuse containers like yoghurt pots or a recycled fruit punnet. Sow, water and wait; you’ll be eating microgreens in a matter of weeks! Harvest with snips or scissors.
