Nature’s very tall bounty
I thought I’d share this picture of the sunflower I planted in spring, which is over 11ft tall and at the last count had 33 flowers on it and still continues adding more. I’m quite pleased with how well it’s done as I’m no expert gardener and never grown one before. I’m looking forward most of all to seeing the garden birds feasting on the seed heads this autumn, having already had the satisfaction of watching the bees enjoying the pollen. Carry on the good work with the magazine, which is certainly helpful for anyone looking for some advice and helpful tips. David Tempest, by email
