Is there any way I can stop grey squirrels from digging up all my bulbs?
Amanda Wedgwood, by email Peg fine mesh chicken wire over the bulbs. It’s easiest to do this when you plant them and then cover the bulbs and wire with soil. They gradually get the message and show less interest. But I must mention the pleasure we had when staying with a friend in Cumbria recently, where native red squirrels sit and feed on the kitchen windowledge.
