Will I be able to make my own wine from Chardonnay grapevine plants I’ve grown from pips?

Martyn McKenzie, via Facebook Unfortunat­ely, it’s very unlikely you’ll get any Chardonnay and, although you might in time have a few fruits if they’re carefully pruned, these will be inferior to those of the parent plant. All commercial­ly available grapevines are varieties that have been selected over many years and grafted onto pest-resistant rootstocks.
