Protect banana plants

-

Many of the plants we grow are on the borderline of hardiness and need protection from cold in winter. If plants are in pots it’s possible to move them to a cold greenhouse or even beside the house where there’s enough protection to keep them from freezing. Only use fleece to wrap plants and never plastic. A cage of wire filled with straw is a good option because it allows air flow and won’t encourage mould. Don’t leave fleece on plants for too long and remove it in mild periods.
