Basil

Won’t survive cold weather so bring indoors until spring. Pot up plants or sow a new batch for winter windowsill harvesting.

Coriander

An aromatic annual that will need resowing to grow indoors. It will become established and grow faster this way.

Chives

As chives die back in late autumn, dig up a clump or two and bring indoors so it can keep growing, or sow new seed.

Rosemary

Hardy, evergreen shrub but growth is reduced if left outside in winter. Instead grow indoors for easy use.
