BEST FEET FORWARD!

Instead of throwing old shoes and boots out, fix them up somewhere, on a tree, fence or shed wall, heel upwards, and make a small hole in the toe. They make either unusual nest boxes or can be used as planters. Old wellies make great strawberry planters.
