Care for your chrysanths

-

Autumn

When planting, choose a sunny spot with rich free-draining soil. Watch for overcrowding and check other plants don’t exceed their allotted space. Thin out any weak stems to increase air flow through clumps of chrysanthemums as it helps with keeping all in good heath and reducing possible rust infections. The heights of these plants vary from 45cm to 1.5m, so can be positioned in various sections of the border. Water well and keep deadheading spent blooms to encourage more flowering.
