STEP BY STEP
1 Blueberries have dense, fibrous roots. Water the plant well and pull the base of the rootball apart.
2 Use ericaceous compost. You can mix in leaf mould and add a controlled-release fertiliser.
3 Half-fill the pot with compost and firm gently, then put in the plant, placing more compost around it.
4 Water thoroughly to firm, then mulch the surface with composted bark if required.
