SANSEVIERIA
What a wonderful plant this is – you could (literally) throw the kitchen sink at it, neglect it and it’ll still grow, holding its own without a care in the world! Also known as motherin-law’s tongue or snake plant, it loves to be crammed in a pot, barely watered in a sunny spot and is virtually indestructible. The only way it could possibly be compromised is if you leave it outside in summer to lots of rain – it thrives on staying dry. But it’s not a dull old foliage plant – its leaf variegation and upright habit is rather striking.
