Terry Walton ‘RUBY ANNIVERSARY’

-

My love of roses has waned in the last decade but my garden still has some bushes, planted for memorable occasions. My favourite is ‘Ruby Anniversary’, which was planted over 10 years ago just outside my greenhouse. It’s a hybrid tea variety with deep red, velvet petals and gives off a delicate perfume. It’s treated to a feed of blood, fish and bone in spring and mulched heavily with good manure. It’s pruned back hard to an outward-facing bud, then rewards me all summer long with a profusion of super blooms. Every garden should have a rose!
