Home-made is best

Gardeners' World - - We Love November -

In Over the fence (October issue), I was interested to read that Charles Dowding was disappointed with the poor plant growth when using a potting compost that was free from animal products such as manure. I make my own potting compost rather than buy it, and it produces large vigorous plants. It also saves money and is environmentally friendly.
