Gardening charity, Garden Organic, has sought to reassure compaigners that its 22-acre site at Ryton Gardens, Coventry, will not be built over following news of its sale. Garden Organic stated that the land will continue to be used for research purposes by the likely buyer, Coventry University. The charity and university have been in partnership for 40 years and although not yet sure if it will still be based there, Garden Organic’s CEO James Campbell said, “Coventry University, will continue to use the site for plant and drought research.”
