A MATTHEW SAYS This common fungus thrives on the wood of deciduous trees and conifers, so is busy breaking down your mulch. Once it has extracted the nutrients, it will disappear. Try changing your bark supplier and, if it persists, use larger-grade forest bark, which is more free draining.
