Win­ter let­tuce

Crisp and re­fresh­ing, win­ter let­tuce of­fers light re­lief af­ter a sea­son of rich, hearty meals.

3 WAYS TO TRY

Make a salad of let­tuce, co­rian­der, av­o­cado, radish and cu­cum­ber. Add prawns that you have left to mari­nade in blended green chillies, lime juice and salt.

Make turkey burg­ers by mix­ing mince with sea­son­ing and fry­ing. Top with yo­ghurt whisked with le­mon juice and curry pow­der. Serve each burger with sauce within a let­tuce leaf.

Wrap a white fish fil­let in slightly boiled and drained let­tuce. Fry the let­tuce parcels gen­tly in but­ter for about 3 min­utes on each side. Serve with a sauce of melted but­ter and le­mon juice.
