SOW CHILLIES

-

I sow my first batch of chillies in the new year by sprinkling seed on a tray of compost, which is placed on a heated mat in the greenhouse. They need a long growing period before they start to flower and then produce the fruits, taking 2-3 weeks to germinate, followed by three weeks of growing before pricking out. I am aiming for big plants with more fruit. I’ll sow another batch next month as insurance.
