WINTER WHITENESS

-

Few of us have enormous gardens so we need to choose our plants carefully the evergreen shrubs, as we need them to perform rather than sit in the corner being lumpy (no names, no pack drill). This viburnum not only has rather fabulous quilted leaves but it flowers in winter (big plus) and then has little black berries in autumn. It also gives welcome cover and shelter to all sorts of wildlife.

Viburnum tinus ‘French White’ Easy to look after given decent soil. Propagate in summer from semi-ripe cuttings.
