Britain’s barometer heads north

-

Glasgow could be as warm as Birmingham within a century. Estimates by charity Rewilding Britain indicate that the UK’s ‘climate zones’ – areas with temperatures that suit certain species – are moving north by about 5km a year due to climate change. The group is calling for the creation of natural corridors in the UK to help birds and insects move their ranges north to adjust to rising temperature.
