Help! My rose is losing its support

A CHRISTINE SAYS I think it will be easiest to cut the rambling rose under your collapsing arch right down, removing any dead material coming from the base of the plant and starting again with a new arch. This would encourage new shoots from lower down, which could then be tied into a new arch to prevent them becoming tangled. Prune the rose annually so it is not such a battle to try and get things untangled.
