Watering

-

When watering your orchids, imagine how they'd get water in the wild, as they cling to the brandies of trees in a rainforest - the root need a regular supply of moisture but should never sit in water. Either keep things light with a shot glass of water a week or soak in a sink of water for an hour once a week, allowing the pot to drain afterwards. They will need slightly less watering in winter. Try to avoid spilling water on the leaves. A happy, correctly watered orchid will have green tips to its roots.
