Luminous blooms of pink, blue, purple and lime green, coupled with the evening fragrance of the tobacco plants mean this display, while attractive by day, becomes more magical as the light fades. Compact dahlia varieties are perfect for pots, although they may need some support. Start tubers into growth in mid to late March and sow tobacco plant seed at the same time. The other plants are available online as plug plants in March and April.
