PLANT POTATOES
I usually grow two or three varieties of second early potatoes, with ‘Charlotte’ always among them, as it is, in my opinion, just about the perfect spud!
Wait until the soil is no longer cold. I level the bed, then draw out drills 90cm apart, lined with garden compost, and plant the seed potatoes about 30cm apart. Then I draw over a good layer of soil to leave a prominent ridge.
