How to move Japanese anemones
1
DIG your plant out of its old home with a spade. Try to dig right underneath it so you that get all of the roots, without cutting through any of them.
2
PREPARE the planting hole by digging in organic matter, like well-rotted garden compost, then dig a hole deep enough for the rootball, twice the width of the roots.
3
PLANT carefully so the plant is at the same level as previously. You may need to pack some extra soil beneath the rootball if it’s too low.
4
BACKFILL and firm the soil around the plant then water thoroughly. If the weather is dry water the plant regularly to help it establish in its new home.
