Q Is it woodlice or slugs causing holes in our crops?

A MATTHEW SAYS Woodlice are often found where there is decay and rot, but they are seldom the first on the scene, attacking the healthy flesh of fruit and vegetables.

I think your original suspicion is correct and it will be slugs and snails at large here, with the woodlouse secondary to the party. Try nematodes to get rid of the slugs – in my experience these are simple and effective.
