Right tree, wrong place?

Regarding the Clippings article (February issue) about planting more trees, I encourage everyone to do so. But some trees aren’t suitable to plant near a boundary, dominating both that garden and adjacent ones within 10 years. Perhaps garden centres should only sell trees that grow to less than 4.5m and advise on planting sites?
