Pick Your Own Delicious Home Grown Strawberries This Summer!

Strawberry plants are easy to grow and all they require is a sunny, sheltered spot. Plants can be spaced 30cm (12in) apart in the open ground. Alternatively they can be grown in growbags (10 plants per bag) or containers. Our hand graded ‘frozen’ (cold-stored) strawberry plants are raised under the PHPS scheme and are guaranteed to be free from pests and diseases. The advantage of ‘frozen’ plants is that they produce fruit the first summer followed by bumper crops for the next 2-3 years. Provided they are planted outside by the end of July, they will crop just 60-90 days after planting. Delivery is from late March. Offer closes 30th April 2021.

MARSHMELLO (mid) - A fantastic midseason variety, described by French chef Raymond Blanc as the sweetest strawberry he has ever tasted! The large, glossyred berries are not firm enough for the supermarkets but it is a very popular variety on ‘Pick Your Own’ farms and has become a firm favourite amongst home gardeners. The plants are strong and vigorous with excellent disease resistance. JUST ADD CREAM (perpetual) - This very special pink flowering perpetual variety combines the sweetness of home-grown strawberries with the delicious aromatic flavour of the wild woodland or alpine strawberry.
