People put their front gardens first
British gardeners are falling back in love with their front gardens, says the Royal Horticultural Society. Their latest survey shows we’ve planted an extra 40 square miles of greenery outside our front doors in the past five years, and the number of front gardens containing no plants at all has halved, to 2.5 million. “The pandemic has had a significant impact on people’s appreciation of their green spaces, and front gardens in particular,” says RHS Head of Environmental Horticulture, Dr Mark Gush.
