The Schofields transformed a bramble-covered hillside on the Scottish coast, into a gorgeous family garden, bursting with flowers and vegetables. “Entering the competition has been one of the best decisions we ever made! Never in our wildest dreams did we think our garden would win. Hearing the encouraging words from the judges, has really given us a boost of confidence.”

2019 Judges’ Choice Frank has created a plant-lover’s paradise, filling his small garden in Greater Manchester with a profusion of clematis, lilies, ferns and much more.

“The best thing about winning was knowing my garden was liked by people in the know. It has encouraged me to help others and, because I won, people ask for advice. I’ve been given the opportunity to design the local church garden, and this has increased my enthusiasm.”

2018 Judges’ Choice Wayne turned his narrow London plot into a tropical haven. The riot of textures, bold shapes and colours transports you to distant lands.
