Tie in new growth on climbers

-

Tie in the vigorous new growth made by climbers now to strengthen their framework and improve flowering.

Tying stems down against their attempts to grow up restricts sap flow to the dominant growth tips and promotes flowers lower down the stem. It also helps permanently train and shape the plant.

Roses respond well to this training method. Prune out any stems that are weak, damaged or growing in the wrong direction, then tie in the strongest to create your framework.
