Creatively planted baskets are colourful, tactile pieces of living art, ideal for brightening up any garden. Suspended at eye (and nose) level, they put on a display that’s easily admired and they’re particularly valuable where space is tight, as they don’t take up any ground space.

Only certain plants work well in baskets though – they need to be able to cope with drought and limited root space, mingle well with close neighbours and cascade elegantly over the sides. So we’ve chosen carefully, picking exciting plants that are ideal for large baskets (at least 35cm wide).

Plant them now and your hanging baskets will be dripping with colourful flowers and foliage all summer and beyond.
