A co-ordinated colour scheme creates a more elegant display than a haphazard mix. To achieve this delicate effect, we used mostly trailing plants in pale pinks and white, with more vivid calibrachoas to liven it up. The euphorbias make a central froth of tiny blooms, but handle them carefully as their sap is an irritant.

Just a month after planting in early May, this sun-loving display was overflowing with flowers.
