Gardens to let

-

Would-be allotment holders, frustrated by long waiting lists, can now rent a growing space via a new website that matches spare land with keen veg growers. AllotMe, which is loosely based on room-rental app Airbnb, now offers access to dozens of gardens all over the country for as little as £5 a month, giving people – particularly those in cities – the chance to grow their own food in a sustainable way.

“You can use a website to order food or a taxi,” says founder Conor Gallagher, “So why not a garden?” Find out more at allotme.co.uk
