Pledge now for pollinators
Join our Put Pollinators First campaign – Emma Crawforth explains how
As part of our campaign this year, we gave away packets of seeds with the magazine so you could sow and grow the flowers that pollinators depend on for a nectar hit – we hope yours are flourishing. Quite a few should be flowering now, so remember to water and deadhead them regularly.
We’re also building up a great collection of inspiring pledges to help pollinators, both from readers and experts, so do join in and add yours. You could make a pledge like Kate or Lily, below, or choose another one from gardenersworld.com/pollinator-pledge

1 Kate’s bee pledge
I pledge to take cuttings of bee-friendly plants to give to my neighbours, so I can spread nectar and pollen across the city, for as many bees as possible!

2 Look after urban pollinators
I’m going to plant lots of cosmos and California poppies in pots – not only will they add a burst of colour, but they’ll also help out any butterflies and bees visiting my flat’s balcony this summer.
