Refresh hanging baskets

-

Trim back some of the plants in your hanging baskets to reinvigorate them with a flush of new flowering shoots. Plants such as bacopa, bidens, calibrachoa, lobelia and verbena can get tatty and tired, even after diligent deadheading.

Trim back the longest and damaged stems by cutting them out carefully and leaving the youngest stems that are in flower so your baskets still have colour. Deadhead everything else and take off any yellowing or dead leaves. Add some liquid feed to the watering can and give plants a soak.

Deadhead regularly to keep basket displays looking their best
