Water crops

-

Keep on top of watering for thirsty crops like celery and celeriac, which should be watered every day. It helps to make channels along the row which allow water to seep down to the roots. Sinking pots at the base of individual plants helps to direct water to their roots.

Leafy heavy croppers, such as beans, courgettes, tomatoes and peas all need plenty of water to support their growth. Some fruits will be swelling fast now, so make sure pumpkins, squash and cucumbers get plenty of water, too.
