Fill up bird baths and ponds
Top up your bird baths and garden ponds. Check bird baths every day as the shallow water evaporates really quickly. Pond water may need doing a few times through the summer. It’s fine to use mains water if your water butts are empty. Change the water every few days to keep it clean and help prevent spread of disease, plus remove leaves and other debris. You can also use a small scrubbing brush to remove any algae.
