Make your own comfrey plant feed

-

Cut a pile of comfrey leaves and allow them to wilt for a day before breaking them up and stuffing them into a net bag or sack that will nearly fill a bucket. Weigh them down into the bucket and fill with water. This will fester for three or four weeks – don’t be put off by the terrible smell, this is a rich liquid feed that will prove invaluable. Dilute it 1:10 to water veg crops. Wilted leaves can make a nutritious mulch, too.
